Florida Jayda Williams Ever played hide and go seek in the dark? Ever drove in a roofless car in the rain? Ever had such a great time with your family you remember it forever? I did when I took my trip to Florida.
My favorite place when I was little was Florida. We took a plane ride to Florida both times we went. I never really found out how many hours it was but it was an enduring ride there. Even though, at my age, a 20 minute ride to the grocery store was long. The play ride there wasn’t boring though. The plane had TV’s so we could watch shows and play games with other passengers on the plane.
When we did finally arrive at Florida after the long plane ride, we had to go to the car rental area and get the two cars of our choice. When we went in ’07, I remember we got a car with a retractable roof and a minivan. So my family (trying to be cool) was riding on the highway with the roof down and out of nowhere it starts raining, but wait, that’s not it. While we were driving, we couldn’t figure out how to get the roof up. Then, finally, we figured out we had to come t complete stop for the ceiling to come up. When we stopped, you could see the rest of our family driving by in the minivan chuckling at us. I have to admit though, it was hilarious.
My family always rented a giant mini mansion. We always had a pool in the backyard and a game room. When we went in ’06, we had pool difficulties were the water in the pool was green and we couldn’t go swimming in it. My mom ended up sewing the company we rented the house from. I wasn’t really disappointed about the pool though because we always went to amusement parks like Sea World, Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, etc. We always took a bunch of pictures when we went. I’m not sure where they are now but im pretty sure my cousin has them.
My favorite memory is when we played hide and go seek in the dark. It was so much fun because we hid in the pool, in the cars, and even in the house. When it was down to one person, we could not find my grandpa. We looked everywhere. My Grandpa was as slick as a fox when it came to hide and seek. When we finally gave up, he came out of nowhere and yanked my aunt by her ankles and pulled her in the pool. It was hilarious and the highlight of my night.
I loved our trips to Florida and hope to go again soon. It was even more entertaining because I had my whole family there.
